MY WORK - Mary Wutz

The purpose of my work (Mary Wutz) is to provide guidance for clients to help facilitate the next spirit-guided steps on their healing journey so they can receive whatever help or support they need in the realms of body, mind, heart and spirit. My work is an integration and culmination of the healing modalities I have studied and directly experienced over the past 15 years: A synthesis of the practical understanding from Clinical Western Herbalism and Nutrition Science, and the esoteric practices of Plant Spirit Medicine and Shamanism. For a list of credentials/trainings see below/click here.

Mary
With every individual, my main focus is to be a clear channel of information, through the creation of safe, sacred and professional space. I connect to the light and medicine and wisdom of the plants and spirit guides on behalf of the client to help guide the session, and what comes is a directive of how to best support them in reaching their healing intentions, through a synthesis of traditional physical, energetic and spiritual modalities.
These messages from spirit come through to the client, along with practical guidance of how to implement them into their life, business or other areas to catalyize healing. This may include such things a meditation to connect with the spirit of a particular plant’s energy, daily practice suggestions, guidance on how to create an altar or creating a herbal tea or tincture formula to create balance and harmony in their physical, spiritual, and emotional blueprint.
Live Life As A Ceremony

BENEFITS OF THIS WORK

Receiving a spiritual guidance session allows you to gain insights, tools and deeper understanding towards the root causes of your current health state. It helps to connect you with the innate healer that lives inside you. This allows you to feel more connected with your own sense of what the “right” next steps are for you. Previous clients have reported a sense of support, hope, decreased stress, and optimism after a session. Many times things that are shared during a session create a feeling of affirmation for clients as they often already “know” what they are being told.

Combining the intuitive insights I receive with the professional trainings I’ve had allows me to provide a detailed protocol that addresses multiple aspects of a person’s system. Approaching healing with a multi-pronged approach allows there to be lasting change within one’s mind, body and spirit.

With this work, you receive support that is customized for your own unique system. Everyone is so biochemically and energetically different, what works for one person will not work for another. Being a chanel through which healing plants and spirits communicate allows me to receive guidance that is specifically customized for you. For instance, someone may read about taking Valerian for sleep, but it will not work for their body (About 15% of people have paradoxical reaction to Valerian Root meaning they actually feel anxious and estless instead of calm and sleepy after ingesting the herb). There may be another plant like Chamomile or Passionflower or California Poppy that are more aligned with your system and the nuanced medicine it needs to achieve the desired state. This work will help you find that.

EXPERIENCE

Mary Wutz has traveled the world studying plant medicine and healing, with a focus on vibrational therapy. Mary’s studies and training throughout the Caribbean, Germany, Nepal, Peru, and Hawaii as a phytotherapist and herbalist have provided her with a deep understanding of plant chemistry, and the powerful healing and medicinal properties of plants and herbs.

Through her healing journey and insatiable desire for plant medicine knowledge, she has a background integrating both traditional and modern approaches. Mary has studied traditional Plant Medicine and Shamanic traditions, including 10 years in Peruvian Shipibo Amazonian Plant Medicine, and is currently studying Hawaiian La ’au Lapa ’au with lineage holders within the tradition. She has studied Clinical Western Herbalism under pre-eminent Herbalists such as David Hoffman, Ph.D. Other modalities she incorporates into her approach include Permaculture, Ayurvastra, Chromotherapy, Reiki, Neuromuscular Therapy, and the Suzuki method.

These experiences have refined her awareness of the frequencies of nature, especially those of plant sentience, and how it is connected to the human body. By witnessing ancient traditions, she has come to understand nature on a deeply intuitive and visceral level, and by experiencing how ancient communities interact with plants, she has come to understand their growth patterns, means of thriving, and inherent nourishing properties. Through her work, she is applying this experiential learning to our modern world in a meaningful and accessible way, and her desire to restore earth balance through deeper alignment with nature rests at the core of her work.

Mary has graduated from The College of Charleston, The Southeastern School of Neuromuscular Therapy, California School of Herbal Studies, Living Light Culinary Institute, and Occidental Arts & Ecology Center Permaculture Design Program. She serves as a consultant in the fields of Clinical Herbalism, Plant Spirit Medicine, Herbal Product Development and Permaculture Design.

These experiences merged with a mission to spread awareness about plant-based remedies in the creation of medicinal clothing label Seam Siren. Mary currently works with her label to empower consumers to understand that their everyday choices have the ability to positively affect the health and quality of their lives, as well as the lives of others.

Mary has been a guest speaker, teacher and panelist at events including SXSW, The International Herb Symposium, Fashion Revolution, The Fibershed Wool & Fine Fiber Symposium, and The Yoga Alliance’s Advanced Teacher Training with Alaya Yoga. She continues learning within the plant-based wisdom traditions she practices and is passionate about spreading awareness about these modalities of healing and creating beauty in the world
